About the 5th Annual Ride for the Troops
Five years ago, Webb Auto Group launched Ride for the Troops with a simple goal: support the men and women who serve and the families who hold it down at home. What started as a small group of riders has grown into one of Chicagoland’s most anticipated military-support fundraisers, co-presented with TREK Bicycle of Naperville and Downers Grove.
Every dollar raised goes to USO of Illinois, which serves service members and their families across the state with programs that span deployment, homecoming, and the transition to civilian life. Our 2026 goal is our most ambitious yet: $50,000.

The day is built for riders, car enthusiasts, and families. Here’s how it unfolds:
- 9:30 a.m. — Registration opens for riders and Classic Chevy Car Show participants
- 10:30 a.m. — Ride for the Troops officially begins, featuring both 10-mile and 20-mile routes
- 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. — Classic Chevy Car Show, live music, food, and family activities open to the public
- 11:30 a.m. (approx.) — Riders return to Webb Chevy Plainfield for food, raffles, and community activities
- 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. — Raffle drawings and Classic Chevy Car Show awards presentation
Bike Ride Routes
- 10-Mile Family Fun Ride — an out-and-back course through Plainfield. This is not a race. Helmets are mandatory.
- 20-Mile Advanced Route — built for experienced riders looking for more distance and scenery through the countryside.
New This Year: Classic Chevy Car Show
For our fifth anniversary, we’re adding a Classic Chevy Car Show to the event. Whether you drive a classic Corvette, a lifted Silverado, a spotless Camaro, or your daily Equinox, every Chevrolet is welcome. Roll in, show off your ride, and join the community for a day that gives back to those who serve.
Eligible Vehicles: All Chevy models welcome — classic, modern, daily drivers, show cars
Entry Fee: $25 per vehicle (proceeds benefit USO of Illinois)
Check-In: 9:30 a.m. at Webb Chevy Plainfield
Display Window: 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Awards Presentation: 1:30 – 2:00 p.m.

Show cars will be on display through the post-ride festivities, giving riders and spectators something extra to enjoy after they cross the finish line. Awards will be presented alongside our raffle drawings between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m.
How to Register or Donate
Registration is $30 per rider and includes the ride, snacks, music, and access to all post-ride festivities. Raffle tickets are an additional $25 and can be added at checkout. You do not have to ride to donate — every dollar helps us reach our $50,000 goal for USO of Illinois.
